A BOLD MOVE
Welcome! I'm Fran, known for lots of things. In the art realm it's colorful and light-hearted mixed media paintings made of acrylic, ink, paper, glue, string, and maybe an auto part or some other discarded item. A Missouri native and retired bank marketing director, I secretly envied the graphic artists I worked with in the lone star state of Texas.
Five years ago, I renewed my love of art and began painting. The support from Facebook friends convinced me to make it a full-time vocation. Nowadays, I enjoy creating canvases that make people smile and don’t require the Member FDIC or Equal Housing Lender logos.
My work has been featured at Valerosa Designs and Gallery, ArtFix Cultured Studio and Gallery Main Street. I hope the pieces you see here remind you of sunshine, laughter, warm friendships, and your authentic, free-loving, playful self. Please look around. If you have questions, drop a line. I love connecting with old friends and making new ones.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
I was gifted my Fran Cooper artwork. I don’t own another piece of art that brings me the joy this does. She makes me feel strong and empowered but also feminine and brave. The color and texture are exquisite!! Looking forward to my next piece!

I purchased several of the Little Gingerbread Houses to give as Christmas gifts. Looking at this nostalgic ornament, you can almost smell the cookies baking and feel the warmth of coming home on a chilly night. They were a hit with my friends, and make great gifts!

I have been looking at art online for a while. When I saw the angel in white with wings made from painted newspaper, I knew I had to have it. There is nothing like hanging a Fran Dalton Cooper original in my home. I look at it everyday and am reminded that I have an angel watching over me.

The most intriguing part of any art piece is the artist’s story. First I saw Fran’s portrait of Charlie—a boy with a face made from a map and wearing a crown made from a Premium cracker box. Then I read his story. I had to have him. I’m so proud to hang this wonderful piece of art on my wall.

I am a big fan of Fran's work! I love how she blends whimsy with meaning and was eager to have a piece of her work to call my own. The moment I saw "Gone to Carolina," I knew I had found it.
